A seven-day national workshop on “Research Methodology and Training Programme in Social Science Research”, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), was held from 20th to 26th April, 2025. The event was jointly organised by Moran Mahila Mahavidyalaya and the Institute of Tai Studies and Research, Moranhat. It concluded successfully on 26th April with a dignified valedictory session.
The valedictory session was chaired by Prof. Girin Phukon, Director, Institute of Tai Studies and Research, Moranhat and National Fellow of ICSSR. The workshop brought together over fifty scholars and researchers from across Assam and the North Eastern region, providing a vibrant space for academic learning and discussion.
Dr. Tarun Gogoi, Principal, Moran Mahila Mahavidyalaya, expressed his sincere gratitude to all the resource persons, participants, and well-wishers. He praised their dedication and enthusiasm, which played a key role in the success of the programme.
The closing ceremony was honoured by the presence of several respected guests, including Prof. Nabakumar Handique, Retired Professor, Department of Assamese, Dibrugarh University; Gyanananda Phukan, President, Institute of Tai Studies and Research; and Khagendra Nath Dihingia, Secretary of the Institute. Their words of encouragement added meaning and inspiration to the event.
The sessions throughout the workshop were smoothly coordinated by Dr. Rima Kotaky, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Moran Mahila Mahavidyalaya. Certificates of participation were awarded to all attendees, marking the end of a meaningful and enriching academic journey.
